This is totally random. I don't usually read blogs but I was SUPER uninterested in what I was doing at work today and I was watching the "woot.com" posts. Anyway, I decided to read your blog and I wanted to give you my two cents about Weight Watchers.
I've been on Weight Watchers since July and I was on it prior to my wedding. I have been following Core since November and I love it. One, I hate counting points and two, it follows your "calories in, calories out" model that you talked about in your blog. Its about making healthy selections and not necessarily eating less calories. I find that the foods are not very restricted and you still get your weekly points allowance to spend on non-core foods like anything with sugar or nuts (sorry -- no peanut butter).
Anyway, try out flex for a few weeks but then I would look into Core. I think it will be particularly helpful when you are pregnant too -- because it really helps you focus on the nutritional content of foods.
Good luck and best wishes. If you ever want a WW buddy, let me know.

Thanks so much for the well-wishes and for reading
I am working on Flex and am okay with it and am already seeing results, which is really encouraging. I just feel like I *should* be able to do this by calculating calories myself and figuring out what I should be eating...and people doing WW *should* understand what they're really doing (rather than just eating "points"). It's hard for me to explain, but I am planning on sticking with it because, well, I know what I'm really doing (as far as cutting calories and understanding the calculation of points) and, well, it's working
