So sick of being sick!

Is anybody else constantly sick?   I feel like it's neverending!!!   I have had 3 colds in the past 3 months, and I'm sooooooo tired of having to blow my nose constantly!  Where's my immune system when I need it?
I guess it doesn't help much that my little one is in daycare -- I think he brings home some germs that I'm not used to (but weirdly enough, he's never sick himself).   Plus, I teach at a high school, which is just a breeding ground for gross germs.
Yuck!  I can't wait for spring and summer!

Re: So sick of being sick!

  • I'm sorry.  I've managed to stay healthy this winter some how despite the epidemics going around our offices.  However I do use a saline nasal irrigation on a regular basis which really seems to help.  You should look into it.
  • i have been way sicker this winter then i have been in the past... and im wayyyy sick of it

i was sick about a month ago and now again
    just achy/feversih/tired etc...

    sooooo sick of it!
  • Oh I am defenitely right there with you. I have been fighting Mono for I don't know how long. As soon as I think that I am getting better and going to be in the clear it knocks me on my feet again. I am tired of having zero energy and wanting to sleep all the time.
One thing I did manage to avoid was the flu, and ironically enough it was the first year I did not get a flu shot.

  • I saw that nasal irrigation thing on Oprah.  Does anybody know what it's called and where I can find one?
  • Golly that is rotten!  I hope you feel better soon!
  • I hope you feel better soon. I just got sick this weekend for the first time in several months, probably even a year! I'm so  poed about it too.
  • It's called a Neti Pot that they had on Oprah.  Also they have retail ones at the pharmacy but they use pressure not just gravity.

I have a health and yoga brand Neti Pot.  It's cheaper in the long run than buying the retail ones to be honest, all you need is some non-iodine salt and water. and the pot which is reusable and dishwasher safe. :)

Now I sound like a commerical LOL
  • DH and I used a neti pot earlier this year.  It was so nice to breath again.  I recommend it.  Also, you can use the home-made idoized salt mixture in most of the ones you buy at CVS.  (At least the ones not behind the counter, I haven't used those.)
