I need some help.

My neighbor has been snow blowing my driveway this winter (I never even asked him to).  He knows I'm single and is always offering to help me when I need help. Super sweet guy. I was wondering if you ladies have any ideas on what I could do for him?  He doesn't eat sweets (I offered him homemade cookies one time). Do you think a gas card is too cheesy?? I mean he is spending gas using the snow blower.

TIA!

Re: I need some help.

  • I think a gas card would be great.  You could also do a g-card to a place that delievers to your neighborhood (pizza, chinese etc).
  • I think a gas card is a great idea. It shows you appreciate him using his fuel to help you. Just add a note saying something like "Since my snowblowing my driveway used all your gas, here's something to top it off for next time" Ya know, you're smart. You'll say the right thing.
  • I think it's a great idea as well.  It's awesome that he does this for you and I think that your true character comes out when you want to do something great in return!
  • Gas card is great, or a GC to a restaurant or something.  I'm sure it would be unexpected in any event, so you really can't go wrong!

    Is he single too?  haha

  • LOL Crystal!  Well he's single but he's seeing someone I went to high school with. He's slightly older than me (in his 40's) and he's got two kids. Great guy though. He's one of those neighbors everyone should have.
  • A gas card would be very thoughtful and most appreciated, I'm sure. Even if he decides to use the gas in his car....what a nice gesture. Good thinking. :)
  • I think a gas card would be great, especially with the cost of gas or if you know what he likes to do for his hobbies, may a gift card to some place else that he likes.

  • But does he have a positve outlook on life?  That's the key here!  ;-)

Oh well, it didn't hurt to ask.

  • Our neighbor made us an entire dinner when we did her driveway for her.  It made me feel really special, because I didn't see a price.  The gas card is nice too, I wouldn't turn that down either. :)
