LOVE the way it looks outside...

...from inside my warm house. :) It's so pretty! I'm really happy that the "blizzard of 08" came on a Friday and Saturday though. Now, we're just praying that we don't lose power b/c our house gets cold really fast. I'd hate to have to drive in this, to keep Maisie in a heated home. After this...I think I'll be done with the snow and ready for spring!

Re: LOVE the way it looks outside...

  • It's pretty but I'm not convinced it's worth it! I hate dealing with snow -- spring can't get here soon enough for me.

  • Yeah, I'm struggling to find reasons why this is so great.

I can think of a heck of a lot of people in this area that are really going to be in a bad position until the snow clears up.  I won't make you a list, because it's just being negative.

  • I just hope that everyone had enough warning to get to the grocery, get their medicaions and be safe. I also feel bad for all the emergency works who have to drive in this to get to work.
  • I love it, but now I'm ready for it to be gone. I have a nice chest cold and I just tried to shovel and I said 'f- it'. Hopefully my super nice neighbor will come over with his snow blower.
  • pretty yes

    annoying yes :)

    hehehe

bring on the sun and warmth!

I can't imagine the whole flooding situation after this considering it was bad before it came thru :|

  • Holy snow!!  I just hope we don't lose power, but so pretty!!
  • Speaking of a heated home.  Just remember if you have a gas furnace the gas is very unlikely to be disrupted during a storm because the pipes are underground.  Your igniter is the electric part but you can safely light it with one of thoes long lighters. I know because our ignighter went out last winter and the heating guy walked me through manually lighting it last year so he didn't have to come out and charge me for an emergency call. All I had to do is light the lighter and hold it near where the gas comes out and hit the reset button to get the gas flowing again because it was tripped to the saftey position. It lit and voila heat with no electricity.
  • It's all good and well until I have to go to work tonight. DH is going to have to dig my car out at some point today.  I just love being a nurse sometimes.  At least it's an hour less tonight :)

  • I think it is pretty out. Glad I have no where to go today. Also glad it happened on the weekend, HATE driving in conditions like this to work. Actually I wouldn't have to go to work for a level 3.

  • I have a lot of errands to run but I think it's pretty. We're going to sink the boys in a snow drift this afternoon!

    LOL!

  • I love it. I just want to yell "Hey Columbus, Now THIS is Snow" :). Reminds me of growing up in Medina, just South of Cleveland.  I remember a blizzard when I was little and living in Ashtabula.  My mom and dad shoved me through the kitchen window to unlock the front door b/c the drifts were so bad. We had to park in the street!
