I rarely get to post anymore... So, who uses coupons?
Where do you get them from? (other then Sunday paper) How much do you usually save (%)
Favorite store to use them in?
BEST deal...(if 1 sticks out)?
I've used them for years. When I first moved to Columbus, I was poor! I HADE to use coupons to live. One Sat. I spent 2 hours in Kroger & had 2 carts of stuff...paid less then $15...it was triple coupon day! I had groceries for weeks!
I still use them at Kroger & usually save 40% or more. However I use them at Target all the time since they allow 1 manu coupon AND 1 Target coupon per item. I can save 90-99% if I really work at it.
My best deal....all the toys for next years shelter Holiday party for the kids! I prob. have over $1000 of toys and have less then $100 in them! It's going to be a fantastic holiday for some kids!
I really miss you all!
Beth
Re: coupons..
I do LOVE when the grocery stores have double coupon weeks. But I haven't heard of one in awhile.
I use coupons like it's going out of style
I get them from coupons.com, boodle.com, couponsurfer.com, afullcup.com, the Sunday paper (I usually buy some extra papers), and sometimes, if there's a good deal coming up, will order from Ebay.
I use them almost exclusively at CVS--I currently have an entire basement of toiletries (about 7 or 8 20 gallon tubs full) and give away stuff regularly to family and am planning a trip soon to a homeless/women's shelter. I also still have about $200 in CVS Extra Care Bucks to spend at CVS.
I was getting into Targeting, but now that they don't take expired Target coupons from 2007 and 2008, it kind of put a dent in the deals I was getting.
I'm bad at using them at the grocery b/c we typically get generic and I don't have the patience to compare prices between name brand with coupon and the generic. We also don't buy much prepared food anymore, so the coupons don't help much.
Best deals are all shown in my basement. I am able to get the stuff that I need and some stuff for my family by buying a bunch of stuff I don't need. It takes some extra time, but I've really gotten a lot of good out of it.
target.com has coupons....listed at the bottom as 'supertarget' coupons...OR better yet. Stop by the kiosk where you can print reg. at Target...go to the Target.com...(same as home) and go to SuperTarget coupons at the bottom. Print them from there...use their ink and paper. If while printing...keep hitting the print and you can get multiples of each. Either take them home and cut out OR take a cutter w/you to use.
Plus don't forget..you can use them w/the manu coupons..making the deal even better..
Kroger and Giant Eagle both are double coupons all the time (up to .99).
next time we have a gtg...we need to swap coupons!
