Hi. I just read your earlier post about chest pains and possibly looking for a new Dr. First, I hope the Dr. can get to the bottom of what has you under the weather. If not and you do decide to shop for a new Dr., I wanted to recommend my Family Dr. I go to Monarch Health on Henderson Road (not far from Riverside Dr.). It is run by Dr. Cole-Sedivy and her CNP Joyce Kerr-Casey. I always see Joyce when I go. She is a phenomenal woman, lives in my neighborhood and a mother of 2. I've never had trouble getting an apt. and she recently saw me within the hour when I had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic I was on. Joyce has always taken her time to answer my questions and had the best bed-side manor of any medical professional I have ever worked with. Anywho....just an option if you need/want to find a new Dr. GL!

  • Thanks for the referal I will def. look into it. My dr. just doesn't seemed concerned about things that I think are important. The front office staff is rude and their referals take forever! I haven't really had to use them lately until now, and I was just reminded that I was not fond of the office. My DH cannot stand them. So I think after I get my results it is time to move on! Do you know if they are taking new patients?
  • Hi, I'm not sure if they're taking new patients, but I would venture to say that they are. Joyce, the CNP really is great. Shortly after I got engaged, Joyce discovered an unknown medical issue that I had and it was devestating. I sat there and bawled like a baby to her in the exam room and she sat there and comforted me. She slipped out of the room for a few minutes and I heard her on the phone with her husband telling him that he needed to pick up their daughter b/c she had a patient going through a rough time and needed to stay with me. She has no idea that I overheard that conversation, but I'll never forget it. That really meant a lot to me. I hadn't been into her office for roughly a year when I had to go in for my recent allergic reaction to penicillen. I was actually scheduled to see the Dr. but when she found out I was coming in, she switched her apts. so she could come see me. She wanted to talk to me and see pictures of Maisie. (we were pregnant at the same time) I can't say enough good things about them!!
  • Wow that is really awesome that she cared that much. That really says alot about her. I will most def. look into them and see if they are taking new patients. Thanks so much for your help!
