***buksfan***

When did you work at A&F? I worked there from 2001-2005.

Re: ***buksfan***

  • Haha, we just missed each other! I was only there for one year, from Aug '99 to Aug '00, which is when I started law school. What dept. were you in?
  • I worked in Transportation from 01-04 and then Allocation from 04-06. How about you? My husband worked in Store Control during that time, he's in visual now.
  • *butting in*

I work at A&F now!  I've been here since 7/02.  I'm in the Facilties Department.  Do I know you guys?!?  Now I need to look at your bios for pictures!

  • I was in finance. Britt, I left in Aug of 2000 so I would've already been gone when you started. I don't even remember the names of people who worked there when I did otherwise I bet we'd know some of the same people. Is it still very clique-y and high school-esque? When I worked there I swear 99% of the employees were under the age of 23 and it felt like I was back in HS.
  • Still pretty hs, but it's huge now. When I started there were about 500 people at home office. Now there are over 1200. Ladies, who did you/do you work for?
  • Yes, it's defintely a "lifestyle" for most of the people that work there.  I feel so self-concious walking around pregnant!

I work directly for Mark Goldbach.  His boss was Abed Karaze, but it just changed to Dana Acock.

  • My husband just told me that Dana took over facilities. I used to work for Kim Hlavinka and then for Steve Miller/Becky Lee. I was in Ruehl before I left. My husband is the Director of visual operations. My name's Meredith Leider. What's yours?
  • Meredith-

Your name is defintely familiar!  I'm the one you call in Facilities with all your requests, so I talk to a lot of people via email and phone.  I'm sure we probably talked before.  My last name is Lakin, though it was Lowry for the first year or two I worked there.  So you are a SAHM now?  I bet you're loving that!  I work 3 days a week, so it's not too bad!

  • You're lucky that your department allowed part time. My husband and I talked about part time because I loved my job and wanted to stay there, but it wouldn't work in my old area.
