Jannypie re: Costco

Honestly, I don't go enough to really pay for the membership fee.  I got it for Christmas so I don't have to worry about that this year.  But I think if you can go more often, it would definitely be worth the fee.

Re: Jannypie re: Costco

  • How much is the fee?

  • I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I think it's $50.  Both my husband and I got one for Christmas.  I'm not sure if it was $50 for the both of us or $50 for each.  Maybe someone else can answer this.
  • It's $50 and you get cards for 2 adults for this $50.  We just joined costco last month. I defainately think it's worth it even for just the 2 of us.  However we do have a large second freezer which is the recipiant of things like large bags of frozen chicken breasts etc.
  • I am going to butt in here. I hope that is ok. You can go in and look around both Costco and Sams as Visitors. You just can't buy. I am so glad we did. Although I liked Costco better, they didn't carry a few of the items that we were looking to buy in bulk and Sams did. (We were looking at lunch stuff and cat litter/food) So if you are pickey about that kind of thing, just compare before you invest in a membership. Just a thought:)

  • I'm extremely excited that Costco opened out here, and as soon as our membership to Sam's expires, we're joining.  It's worth the drive from Canal to Polaris IMO.  But I grew up going to Costco, so I may be biased.

My parents are there about 3x per week, and it's just the 2 of them in a 1 bedroom.  Just have a freezer to make the travel worthwhile!

  • we do have a second freezer. we're just usually bare bones kinda people though. i'd probably chose sams over costco just cause its closer to me. their membership is $40 it says online. thanks for YHO!
