Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

My tax lady had to look it up, because I asked the same question. I was super worried about the taxes on that money since only medicad and ss was taken out.

What she found was if you pay into a short term/long term disability policy @ work with post tax money then it's a payout from that policy. And it's already been taxed therefore it's non-taxable.

Does this make sense?

  • Ahhhhh, that makes sense!!!!!!!!!! I get it!!!! I don't pay into a policy with net earnings, my company pays into it, so it is initial income for me that was never taxed before. boo hiss......... :( oh well.... I do appreciate you explaining it to me!!!!
