Ya so my "estimate" of $4k was WAY off. We had our taxes done last night and between all the medical expenses last year with the birth of our little tax deduction and finding out that the short term disability payment I got for maternity was tax free money our refund was $6,000!
I asked about adjusting our withholding down and my tax lady was concerned that next year it wouldn't be as high due to the loss of the medical deductions. So I'll probably wait one more year to see how it balances out then adjust down. Since I HATE the idea of owing.
Home depot here I come!
Re: Holy refund check!
nice!! getting back IS better then giving (i think personally).. and that is the biggest reason I fear making "adjustments"
enjoy spending it!
Congrats!!
We just did our taxes last night as well and are very happy with the refund! Its so nice!
DH is worried we will owe next year... but I dont see how we would... all the withholding stuff is so confusing!
Way to go Andrea! Have fun spending the money!!
Manday, you probably won't owe next year considering you guys are buying a house and isn't the mortgage interest or something like that deductable??
Hope you have some fun with it!
You suck We owe $34
How awesome! I wish we were getting half of what you guys are. Unfortunately we owe money again this year.
Enjoy spending the money!
