About book club...
I read that book over the summer.  I have read a couple in the last couple years where the main character is not a desirable character.  It is such a different experience, when that happens.  Like almost not a relaxing reading experience...maybe I am just high strung!

Re: mbrooke1

  • Hi Kristy! I've owned that book for almost two years and have still not read it! I seriously doubt it'll get read before next Friday's book club either. I'd heard it was good, but not that the main character was undesirable. You're right it is different when you don't like the characters, I've had that happen with a few books. Which ones for you?
  • Well there is frustration with The Kite Runner, The Good Earth (the male character), Things Fall Apart, and then Everything She Wants (forget the author...Shreve, I think??).
