I just re-joined SparkPeople

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to lose weight so I was going to join Weight Watchers but money is tight and I remembered that Spark People is free so I decided to give that a try again.  My goal is to lose around 50 pounds by my birthday in November.  Wish me luck!

Re: I just re-joined SparkPeople

  • Good luck! I'm in the same boat right now, so if you need encouragement, feel free to email or page me!

  • Good luck!!  I lost 30 pounds with sparkpeople before my wedding and have successfully kept it off for one year now.  I love sparkpeople!!!
  • Best of luck!  I liked Spark People okay--wasn't too into the community aspect, so I ended up logging my calories on www.calorie-count.net.  But I hope SP works for you :)
  • I'm in the same boat as you. I've put more weight on since Violet was born than I did during her entire pregnancy. ick. I need to lose about 50 too.
  • I'll be brave here. I want to lose 80 lbs, or fit nicely into a size 10. I have no deadline other than I want to be healthy before we try to have babies. I go to Curves 6 days a week and have lost 4 inches off my waist since Jan 2nd. I lost 4 lbs of body fat, and 2 lbs overall. Jeans are already fitting better! Internet weight loss sites don't work for me cause I will NEVER make myself sit down and log everything. I'd rather go work out and talk to all the lovely ladies at the gym and get my support that way. Plus, support from you ladies is awesome too! Cheers to you and SparkPeople! I wish you much success!
  • Oh, Rooette, I'm in that boat--let's see....my goal originally was to lose about 114....have lost almost 50 total....still got over 60 to go....and that STILL makes me overweight on all the scales.  Ugh.
  • Way to go Roo! Those are great numbers! ::high five::

Congrats Allison! I knew you had lost weight, since you looked great at game night, but I didn't know how well you've done! That's great!

  • Buckeyechick, I read some of your blog last week and I thought "Aha! Someone else is thinking like me!" You've made some great progress already!
  • Good Luck!

I am at SP, and haven't check in for about a month.  Thanks for the motivation to check in.
