Realtors: Location question
From what I've seen on realtor.com, there aren't many houses for sale in our neighborhood, between Sinclair Rd. and I-71, south of 161 (Salem Village). Most of the houses in our 43229 zip code are east of I-71, and those typically are much lower priced than the few in our neighborhood, because (from what I've heard), it's a rapidly declining area.
My question is, typically, is the location of the east-of-71 houses and their prices directly comparable to those in our neighborhood, and how would that affect our ability to sell?
We want to put our house on the market in Spring '09, but judging by the houses east-of-71, there's no way we could sell b/c we'd have to take $20k+ less than what we even owe on the loan.
They didn't have you where I come from...never knew the best was yet to come...

It's little_pink_umbrellas at yahoo dotcom.
We're not too very far from Roche...we're actually on Crawford, at the cul-de-sac end.
The house next door has been on the market for something like 16 months, and they've dropped their price several times, so it's not looking pretty for us. :-(
Checking right now...
