Chronic Health Issues vs Sick?
I just had a revelation. I am pathetic. My health is pathetic.
This morning I have (1) headache (2) sore/achey muscles and joints (3) sinus pressure (4) stuffed nose (5) occasional sneezing.
Most healthy, normal people that woke up with all these systems would say they were certainly sick. But, these are all things that I could have on a normal day, chronically. Having all of them in one morning could just as likely be bad luck as that I am sick.
I think I need to bother starting to address some of my chronic health issues...
Re: Chronic Health Issues vs Sick?
I have been to the dr for some of the allergy like symptoms, and actually I have a followup appointment tomorrow.
I have never talked to a dr about the sinus pressure issues, that are tied to the migraines. I just treat the migraines.
I guess I should have made the subject different. I am not asking whether you think I have the flu or not, I am just realizing that I really should deal with my chronic health issues because I can't even differentiate between my normal problems and the flu.
Maybe we should both go to the doctor.
Not that this will make you feel much better, but going to the dr. doesn't magically clear it all up. I have seen an allergist for my allergies & asthma for 8 + years. I take weekly injections, daily meds and have allergy headaches all the time. (The aching jaw pain is the worst.)
For my migraines I've seen a neurologist (who's tested out a slew of meds on me.) So far no preventive meds work, only fast acting . (Which I can't take while pregnant.) Then the last 4 months or so I've been going and getting acupunture too. Which was helping , but doesn't anymore due again to being pregnant and them being able to do less pressure points.
Sorry, that probably sounds pretty discouraging! It's a good step, and hopefully will be helpful to you in the long run. I only meant that going to the dr. won't be an instant cure-all. (For ex: I can try to prevent mold growth and constantly clean household dust wearing a mask, avoid smoke and pet dander, but can't stop trees/plants from pollinating or the smog in the air.)
Okay, I'm just going to stop typing now ~ I'm being so depressing!
