Anyone married at/been to Confluence Park?

My mom had a lunch meeting there today and some cars were broken into - hers included. Apparently this also happened to other people the last time they had a meeting there. I had no idea it was a problem, and a coworker's getting married there in June, so I'm concerned. Has anyone else heard about break-ins there, or is my mom's group just extraordinarily unlucky?

We had our rehearsal dinner there, with about 50 people in attendance, and there were no problems that I heard of. Unfortunately, for such a pretty place, it is not far from some questionable neighborhoods - so I would always take extra precautions.

We had our reception there and nothing happened as far as I know but we had tons of out of town guests and had a shuttle to and from the hotel (Hyatt) so not that many cars I guess.

I would caution the wedding crasher.  We had a few since we had a full open bar and cigars at the bar.  The neighboring wedding had "strays" that ventured in.  One guy from that wedding was trying to hook up with my MOH and even went through our money dance line!  Then I sware the whole wedding party of the neighboring room were outside with cigars.....and they turned their back when we walked through.

AH WELL - I think it's funny.

I've been there what feels like A LOT over the past 12 years, never had a problem. 

I would guess one guy is having a good time there. 
I also second the wedding crasher part.  Last time I was there 4 wedding parties at the same time where in the building, and it was easy for the guests to get confused, even if they didn't crash intentionally.

This is good to know. I think my mom's group was just really unlucky (and/or a little risky with leaving laptops and such in their cars) because I hadn't heard of this being a problem, and wondered if I was just out of the loop.

I've been to a rehearsal dinner there and don't think anyone had any problems. There were probably 40-50 in attendance that night too.

I havent been there, but the break-ins don't suprise me... there is a large homeless population around there (they live on the banks of the river)... so I would just be careful no matter what.

I got married there!  We got married on NYE so not many people drove.  But out of the 200 some guests, we didn't hear of any problems.  Not sure if it was the holiday but we didn't have any party crashers either.  I am really sorry to hear this happened to your mother.

We had our reception there in July of '04, so a while ago, but no problems.  Like pp, we had some strays leave questionable (OK, they were funny) messages in our wish bowl and a friend had some strays come in to their open bar, but nothing serious.
