Scrapping/Cardmaking/Crafty Gals

I'd like to start making my own cards.  My bday is coming up and I'd like to tell DH where to buy a rotary paper trimmer. Where's the best place to go? I don't need a professional grade one but something that will allow me to cut a nice weight card stock that's 12 x 12.  Any suggestions on brand as well as store to buy one (online or brick and mortar)?

Thanks!  Trisha

Re: Scrapping/Cardmaking/Crafty Gals

  • Fiskars makes some nice ones. You can get them at either Joann's or Michael's. The Sunday Dispatch usually has coupons for either place that can be used for any item in the store.
  • If you do go to Joann's and you shop at Giant Eagle, pick up a GC for Joann's and get the gas points for it. I haven't paid for gas in the truck since June. But, I agree with pp. I have a Fiskars cutter. It's a slide-y thing. Love it! And the blade is SUPER easy to change. I have a fiskars rotary cutter for fabric, love it too!
  • i just got the current joann's ad, they have a coupon for 40% off one item plus another 10% off your purchase, for their presidents day sale.

  • I got the same ad and got all giddy. The 40% off any reg priced item is good now through 3/1. The 10% off your whole purchase is good 2/15- 2/18 only. I was ready to go today! Grrrr.
