I read spoiler sites occasionally and one thing I read revealed the Oceanic Six. Now I just need to watch and see if that spoiler is actually true They say next week we are going to find out another of the Oceanic Six...we already know three: Jack, Kate and Hurley.

I thought it was awesome! I just love that show. I want to know how the plane is at the bottom of the ocean when it crashed on land, among other questions! And I thought that Sawyer was one of the six because I swear that in the season finale last season Kate or Jack mentioned Kate living with him, but I can't really remember because we didn't have DVR yet.

I think the plane that was found at the bottom of the ocean has been staged by the Dharma Initiative.

DH and i both loved it! we were caught up in it the whole time!

i thought only the tail section landed on the island. the rest of the plane landed out in the ocean, remember all the people swimming up to the beach in the first episode?

i definitely think sawyer and sayid are two more, and either Ben or Locke because in the season finale Jack went to someone's funeral before he went to see Kate, and no one else had shown up at the funeral.

what do you all think the secret is that they're keeping? i think its just that there are more survivors on the island that chose to stay because of its healing powers.

also, in the second season finale i remember the soviet(?) ship that picked up on the blast from the hatch when it blew, and they called Penny. i wonder when they are going to tie that part back into it.

Well, it seemed last night in the plane wreckage they showed, it was an entire plan. And right before Dan the parachuter landed on the island, weren't Jack and Kate at the cockpit of the Oceanic plane? I remember in the first episode they went to get the pilot who was then eaten by the monster or something like that.

I think Sayid is another of the Oceanic 6, but for some reason I don't think Sawyer is.  My hunch is the secret they are keeping is that there are people left on the island alive (at least the Oceanic 6 think they are) and they want to go back and rescue them.  Locke or Ben were definitely my guesses last season for the funeral Jack referred to.

I'm a little late, but OMG I love this show! 

I think they have done a good job of introducing the new characters and not making us wait until halfway through the season to find out more information about them.  I also like that they are telling us why they are there, and who sent them there.  And I like how they are giving equal face time to all the characters instead of focusing on two or three of them, like they did at the beginning of season 3. 

I can't wait for next week!  We'll have to do a weekly "Lost" recap and discussion!

thats true melissa, it did look like a whole plane. and they definitely would have had to fake 340 some bodies in the pictures if everyone were to believe all the passengers died.

oh you're right, they did go look for the pilot! and the guy on the show last night, said the pilot they were showing on tv wasn't the pilot of the plane. so proof that it wasn't the same one! (BTW, what kind of TV station shows months old dead bodies decaying under water in their newscasts?!?!?! yuk!)

What did you guys think about the whole skeleton of the polor bear wearing a dharma collar?  Was that a flash forward or flash back?

As for the plane, DH and I actually went back and watched Season 1 again as a refresher before the season started.  I think the plane landed in at least three distinct spots -- the cockpit was in the jungle somewhere (with the pilot, Charlie's drugs and the monster), the tail was where Rose's husband was and then third piece was what either landed on the beach or into the ocean (with Jack and gang). 

I definitely agree with someone that its a fake down in the ocean -- but I have no clue as to why.

I love this show but I always get so frustrated while watching it!!  I was yelling "WHY??!!?" at the TV at the end of the episode last night.  It's such a great show and really sucks you in.

I think the polar bear remains and the Dharma collar were part of a flashback, considering the remains were found in Tansania or something like that if I am remembering correctly. For some reason, I don't think the 4 people from the  helicopter are going to make it alive off the island, but that is just a guess on my part.

I am a little late, just wanted to add, I love this show too.  My hubby had never watched it and was sitting with me last night while it was on.  I tried to explain to him things when he asked, but I sounded like a complete idiot to him.  "See their on this island...Ben is this guy who...there were polar bears...flashbacks...flash forwards." 

I think my hubby thinks I am mentally nuts now trying to tell him all that he has missed and attempting to have it all make sense.

Can not wait till next week!!!!!!

ooooooh ok, so maybe the Dharma Initiative planted a fake plane on the bottom of the ocean, so rescuers will stop searching for any survivors! right?! did i figure that out on my own?! LOL, NO! i told Ryan what you all thought and HE figured it out. i'm so dumb :P
