The babies and I are going to be in the dispatch Sat!
They did an article on "push presents" and interviewed me and then came out for an hour last night and took TONS of pics of me and the boys! Very exciting!

Allison- the nest posted that they were looking for people to interview on our board a while back. I talked to "Nest Jacqueline" the nest's PR director.
Julie- It's a present a husband gives a wife for "pushing" out the baby....or in my case...hemmoraging and then having them cut out while I was unconscious...LOL!

I cannot wait to show DH. He thinks that push presents are something that I made up. LOL!!
I was telling Josh and he was like "Does this mean I need to get you those diamond earrings you're always talking about?" LOL.
Actually, I think the term "push present" is relatively new, but the concept isn't. For example, my grandfather gave my grandma a piece of jewerly for every kid she had ~ 3 total. She just gave me her pearl necklace a couple years ago, which was the gift when my mom was born.
i'll have to read it online this weekend!!

I already have laid the seed with DH on this. I told him I would like a pair of studs or a simple necklace in the baby's birthstone - something I can pass on to her when she's 18. If she comes on time, it will be an emerald; if the comes more than 11 days early, it would be diamond. I'm hoping for emerald, because I love them. I already have an awesome emerald ring that I bought myself as a master's graduation gift.

We're still working on my "push present". My DH actually was very sweet and decided he'd give me
"Trimester Gifts". At the end of the 1st Trimester, he gave me a crock pot (LOL, romantic, I know!). At the end of the 2nd Trimester, he bought me a very nice white gold chain so I could wear my wedding band around my neck since I couldn't wear it on my hand anymore. And for 3rd Trimester (aka, push present), it will be some sort of necklace with her initial and birthstone.
