Call me a complete idiot...and not worthy to cast a vote

I feel like such and idiot.  My dh and moved into our new home this past fall and on my list of things that had to be done was register to vote in fairfield county.....

Well did I do it like a responsible citizen?  No I wait to hear it this morning on WNCI that today is the deadline and there is no way for me to make it home in time to get somewhere to register.  I really am bummed and feel totally irresponsible.

Thanks for letting me vent about my stupidity.

Re: Call me a complete idiot...and not worthy to cast a vote

  • Can you go back to your old place and vote?  I am not sure where you were living before but maybe it's not too far?
  • I don't think you're an idiot. I think this is exactly why our voting system needs to be online. I would be really bummed too.
  • I think you can still go to your old polling place and vote there as long as you are registered, i.e. you're not trying to register for the first time.  But call the BOE and find out for sure.

  • You can still vote at your old place.  DH and I moved back in April and I didn't change my address yet because I wanted to vote yes for the Hilliard Levy.  Our new house is in Columbus Public and I'm still registered at my parents house which is in Hilliard.
