Scamper escaped about midnight last nt....
She's our inside cat! We've had her three yrs last wk and last nt about midnight I grabbed a bottle of water off the front proch. Best we can figure is she darted our and I didn't see her. I awoke about 5am and we realized neither of us had her on our feet last nt (she sleeps there),. we searched the house...then walked the neighborhood..then drove it..walked again etc. We searched until about 10am...no luck! She's a house cat and not out much (3-4 minutes at a time MAX..usually gets scared and runs back for the door.). The times she did get locked out, she's knocked (banged). We were up at least 30 minutes after she got locked out, so we should have heard her!
I'm heart broken! It's all my fault! I should have looked, but thought she was in the basement!
She is Harry's 'little girl'.
I'm praying she comes back ASAP!
However since we both work all day Monday and have dinner at the shelter after...we won't be home until 7pm...she'll think we locked her out on purpouse and don't want her back.
We did put out milk and food out.hoping she comes back ASAP!!!
Please say a little prayer that she's ok and she comes home soon...or is happy, warm and safe whereever she is!
Beth
Re: Scamper escaped about midnight last nt....
This happened to my childhood indoor cat and she got so scared she went and lived a few days under our neighbors porch. She'd come scratch at the door when we were gone during the day. Luckily she came one day and we were home.
I hope you find her. Be sure to call cat welfare in case someone turns her in. Also local vet offices.
I hope you find Scamper! I'll say a little prayer.
