Superbowl Appetizer help please!

Do any of you have an awesome appetizer that everyone raves about? If so---can you please share the recipe? :)

I'm headed to a SuperBowl party tomorrow and was asked to bring an appetizer. I have a usual go-to Taco Dip---but I'm getting bored with that one.

Any suggestions?  TIA!

  • One of my favorites is Buffalo Chicken Dip...there are several variations...

(5 ounce) cans chicken, drained ((by the tuna in the grocery store)) 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened 1 cup ranch dressing 3/4 cup red hot sauce shredded cheddar cheese, you decide how much  Beat cream cheese, ranch dressing, and red hot sauce.

    1. Fold in shredded chicken.
    2. Spread mixture into pie plate sprayed with Pam.
    3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
    4. Add cheddar to top and bake an additional 10-15 minutes.

    or

      Buffalo Chicken Dip

2 cups cooked chicken, diced or chopped
--- or one large can/pouch of chicken
    4-8 oz. Franks Hot Sauce
    12-18 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup blue cheese or ranch salad dressing
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 bunch celery, washed and cut into sticks
    Nacho Chips

    Preheat Oven: 350?

In a large bowl combine: chicken, hot sauce, cream cheese, dressing and ? of the shredded cheese. (Adjust the amounts of hot sauce and/or cream cheese to make the dip mild, medium or hot per your own taste.)

Pour mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese. Bake at 350? F for 25 to 30 minutes.

    or

    • 2 pkg cream cheese, 8 oz - softened
    • 8 oz ranch dressing
    • 8 - 12 oz Frank's red hot sauce (depends how hot you want it)
    • 2 cups diced chicken (Perdue Short Cuts works well also)
    • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese

Mix well the first four ingredients; spread in a 13 x 9 pan; cover with cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until cheese is bubbling.

Serve with tortilla chips (scoops work the best) or may serve with celery and carrot sticks (then it's okay for South Beach Diet).

  • ooh--that sounds like a hit!

thanks for the recipe---and I'll be thinking about you on monday!!  :)
