Who was it with WOW phone issues?

Other than me?

Wow was here yesterday with their lead tecnician who was here for an hour and a half. It worked fine when he left.

Its not working now. If i plug the phone into the modem it works. WTF???

Didn't someone have an issue with wiring outside when it rained?  I'm so mad.

Re: Who was it with WOW phone issues?

  • stephpalmerface has been having issues with hers lately.
  • I was ready to go postal on WOW yesterday!!  I can make calls just fine - no problems.  However, I know of three different people who can not dial my line.  They keep getting the message that "This call can not be completed as dialed, blah blah blah".  I have to call WOW back today and I'm not looking forward to it :(

Other than this - I haven't had any problems with my cable or internet service at all :)

  • I did, I got rid of it in October though. Is the modem plugged into the phone line? Be careful though they charged me for coming out to "fix" mine. I think it was $50. And I still had issues with it. It wasn't when it rained though. It was just randomly. I never did figure it out. Although I always kept the phone plugged into the modem because we had to pay to fix the wiring in our house (at&t fixed it for free after 30 days).

  • I was the one with the problems when it rained - although it took ME telling THEM that it was caused during or after periods of rain.

The culprit was a partially cut wire outside - rain would get in and short it out.  It only took 8 visits over about 9 months to get it fixed for good!  There's a light at the end of the tunnel!  ;-)
