Valentine's Day

Well tomorrow is the start of Feb. and I guess that means V-Day is around the corner.  What are ya'll doing for Valentine's Day?  Are you getting DH/SO anything??

I am planning on getting DH cologne because I can't think of anything else and he is almost out.  Damn I'm boring!!  We haven't even talked about it though, who knows if DH will remember with all the craziness going on at our house.

Re: Valentine's Day

  • I don't have a date. :-(
  • We never do anything.  We will probably get each other three cards (one from us, one from Connor and one from the dogs) and call it a day.  We don't really have the money to spend on each other but I really want a new camera to replace our slow-as-mud camera so maybe we will make that our V-day gift to each other.
  • We're just going out to a nice restaurant. I don't know which one, DH always insists on surprising me.

    There's always this option:

    :)
  • next week is kind of our crazy we have a lot going on week a blue jacket game, osu basketball game and will farrell standup act   . . . so likley the week after will be a more laid back relaxed one :)

probably will do a quickiee trip to the local hallmark for a card!

  • Not sure if we'll do anything.  I'd rather just spend the evening with him at home.  I have to volunteer until 6, so he'll head home without me after work and start to put together something...but it'll be pretty low key for us.  No presents, probably.
  • We just usually go out to dinner. I asked him years ago never to get me V-Day flowers (just too expensive.)
Anytime during the rest of the year would be great though. :)
  • No plans and I hope it stays that way. Im hoping for a nice relaxing night at home with a little champagne, some chocolate fondu, and my nice large couch with hubby and the dog :)
  • We'll just be hanging out at home.  Thats the BEST to me.  I think I will go to Riffe's market and get some filets, asparagus and baking potatoes.  That's his favorite!
  • We are going to Vegas the weekend after VDay and going to a couple of really nice dinners and are doing bottle service at lounges/clubs both nights (we'll be there with a group of friends), so we'd rather save our money by not doing anything for VDay, plus it's not a very important holiday to us. We may go to dinner on actually VDay at a dive-y restaurant/bar (we always went to the Blue Dube when we lived in Columbus).
  • I usually make chocolate covered strawberries and we sip on Champagne. We promised not to do gifts a long time ago (unless it's a cheesy box of chocolates or something.)
  • We actually plotted this out.  We usually put together a few things in February - we met on the 5th, first date/dating "anniversary" on the 20th, V-day on the 14th - we usually lump it all together and do a small gift and dinner.  But because we're not thinking I'll want to go out on our anniversary (12 days before due date), we decided to do a nice dinner sometime around V-Day (never ON the actual day - too ridiculous) and a card, and then save the gift to to one gift for both events on our anniversary.  One big dinner, one "big" gift, when they make the most sense.
  • We're going out for sushi (my first sushi meal since being pregnant..oh how I've missed it!!) and to a movie. Not sure when or which movie we'll see, but I can't wait for a date night!! It's been a while since we've had a date. :)
  • We don't do anything for V-day since our anniv. is on the 26th. We'll have dinner at home (not sure what yet) and watch a movie. I'll  buy him a card & maybe some candy, but that's it.
  • We're too boring to do anything fun.  He has class until 10pm and I'm usually in bed by the time he gets home on Thursday.  Maybe we'll do something small on Friday.
  • I have parent teacher conferences until 9 on Valentine's Day.  We are going to dinner to celebrate on Friday. I am still a little bummed that I have to work so late. I think I will get him a card and a little gift.

  • I doubt we are doing much.  He will be working on the 14th.  Actually it will be his first day back after his vacation from the babies arrival.

I don't have any gift ideas for you...inless you did a cute collage of the baby.

  • We always order pizza from Plank's and make brownies.  We like having a tradition.
