how was the wind at your house?

Oh good God!!  It woke me up a couple of times and it even woke up Connor around 3:00.  It was crazy!  We leave when it is still very dark so we have to wait until tonight to see the aftermath in the yard but I can't imagine it will be pretty.  Unfortunately for Connor, last night was the night we decided to quit the pacifier cold turkey so when it woke him up at 3:00 he had a tough time falling back asleep :o(

Re: how was the wind at your house?

  • I didn't hear any of it! Though, we didn't have anything out of the ordinary laying around in the parking lot, so it may not have been as bad?
  • No kidding! I had a really hard time falling asleep. I was convinced the house was going to blow away ala Wizard of Oz. :)
  • It was really, really bad at our house on the West side.  I had a really hard time falling asleep last night and then woke up at least 12-15 times throughout the night.  Talk about a restless sleep...  *yawn*
  • My husband said a tree limb fell in the yard kitty-corner to us and ruined some of their deck.  Also, our trash can tipped over so the trash guys wouldn't pick it up - god forbid they get out of their truck.
  • We are up in Lewis Center and it kept both Jason ans I up all night. We were waiting for the house to blow away as it sounded like the siding was coming off of the house!
  • there were some trash cans over turned in our neighborhood
  • It woke me up a lot last night too.  One of my dogs was really scared and slept under the bed.  Our grill cover flew off and one of our patio chairs was knocked  over, but that was it for us.  We live in a new neighborhood and there aren't any trees yet.
  • My neighbors recycling bin went flying across my yard but that was about it. I woke up around 1am thinking I was going to be carried off with my house. After that I couldn'g get back to sleep!
  • Peel garage door molding off the front of the house: CHECK Blow grill off deck: CHECK Shake the house, and the dresser handles so they wiggle all night: CHECK I get to check the roof today...yay! Ugh. Our builder "repaired" the garage door molding twice already, but because of cosmetic issues (it was UGLY) It blew off last night and missed our cars somehow.
  • We turned our fan up a notch so that helped us get some sleep. Maisie sleeps with a fan on too, so she didn't bat an eyelash. :)
