Indian Restaurant Rec's

DH's parents are visiting tonight and I want to try something very different from our usual choices.  Please recommend a restaurant and your favorite dish there.

Thanks!

Re: Indian Restaurant Rec's

  • The Indian Oven on Main Street (close to downtown) is really good.  I don't remember the names of the dishes I have had, but everything I've had has been fantastic.
  • A second vote for Indian Oven. The food is always good  and the atmosphere is really nice -- comfortable and casual but very elegant. (Nice jeans are fine, dressing up a little more would be fine too.) My  favorites are the vegetable navratan korma (a vegetarian curry with just the tiniest hint of cream) and the mixed biryani, but we've tried a million things and have liked everything.

  • I also vote for the Indian Oven.  That place is by far the best Indian in Columbus.  Enjoy!
  • I've heard the Indian Oven is pretty good...

but my favorite is the Indian Kitchen.  It's a little...uhm...quirky but the food is delicious.  http://www.indian-kitchen.com/
I usually get the Alu Matar or the Palak Paneer and H likes the Chicken Korma.
