AW: Girl's night

I'm so freakin spoiled by my DH.

One of my good friends just moved back to town, after three years away at grad school in NH and an internship in NYC.  Carrie was one of the people DH and I visited in the city last fall.  DH and I have been inviting groups of friends (mostly couples) over for dinner/games every few weeks for the last few months, which he loves, because he has renewed his love for cooking.  So last night, we had Carrie over to welcome her back, as well as two other friends.  It was my idea to have a girl's night, but I think DH was more excited about it than I even was!  My friends were wowed by the 4-course meal he made - hummus appetizer, baby greens/carmelized walnut/pear/feta cheese salad, a yummy balsamic/tomato chicken and pasta, and then dessert!  DH mostly tried to stay out of our "girl thing", despite all their pleadings for him to join us.

Here's his blog posting about the night and what he made for us....
