Columbus Nesties
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Submitting resume question

Is it better to mail the resume in through the mail, or ok to submit electronically?

Re: Submitting resume question

  • Does the job posting specify on how they would like to receive it? If not, I would probably do email with my resume and cover letter in one Word attachment.

When I was looking for jobs out here in Phoenix, sometimes the postings would say email only.

  • Hi! I am a recruiter and we not only prefer, but we require it be sent electronically (attach it to an e-mail in a Word doc). We ideally prefer it to be sent directly through the website for a specific opening. Since everything is electronic (we don't keep any paper) I can cut and paste it into the candidate database as long as I have an electronic copy. However, not knowing what type of company it is for, when in doubt you could do both!

  • Electronically is best.
