So I moved here a couple months ago and I'm still learning where everything is! I was just wondering if anyone could give me some good tips on fun things and places to go!
Thanks
Re: New to Columbus!
C-bus actually has a LOT to offer, from Gallery Hop weekends in the Short North, to tailgating @ OSU in the fall... Easton & Polaris for shopping... lots of yummy restaurants... I'm sure the other girls on here will have some good suggestions as well!
Welcome to Columbus! I lived in Columbus for seven years and we just moved from Cbus to Phoenix, but I still hang around the board. Columbus has quite a bit to offer:
*German Village (try Barcelona, Lindey's, Old Mohawk, and Thurman's for restaurants)
*Short North (Gallery Hop is the first Saturday of each month; lots of restaurants...try Press Grille, Burgundy Room, Hyde Park, The Rossi, and Rosendales just to name a few)
*Walk around the OSU campus and go to South Campus Gateway (movie theater, some bars, restaurants include Eddie George's Grille 27 and the Happy Greek)
*Easton (catch a movie, see a comedy show at The Funnybone, catch a show at Shadowbox Cabaret, eat at Brio, Bon Vie, Cheesecake Factory, Fado and PF Changs, and of course shop!)
*In the summer, there is ComFest at Goodale Park (late June) and the Dublin Irish Festival in Dublin (beginning of August)
*In the fall, check out a football game at Ohio Stadium and go to Oktoberfest (late Sept/early Oct)
*See a Broadway Across America show at Ohio Theatre or the Palace (just depends on where that show is playing)
*In the summer, see a free Shakepeare in the Park show at Schiller Park in German Village. You can bring a blanket and a picnic.
*Catch a concert or Blue Jackets NHL game at Nationwide Arena
*Eat and barhop in the Arena District (restaurants: Bar Louie, Park Street Patio, Gordon Biersch, Buca di Beppo, and O'Shaughnessy's; bar: Brothers, Spice, Sugar, Gaswerks, Bar Louie, Adobe Gilas, Park Street Patio)
Hmmm, that is a good list to get started I think. I am sure other girls can add things to it!
welcome!!!
