I know the writer of JUNO!!!
Just got an email from my high school alumni association... a girl I graduated with (she was in my class) wrote the screenplay. I can't really say we were "friends" but my class was only 195 people so everyone knew everyone.
She's a really interesting girl. Her name is Brooke Busey but then after college she became a stripper and wrote a book about it which was a best seller (got her an interview on Oprah). I guess this is the first screenplay she ever wrote and it's a really good movie, got nominated for lots of awards. It's cool that our private Catholic high school is giving her the credit she deserves even though she's a little unconventional.

I saw her on Oprah. She was very interesting and seemed totally down to earth. She is going by a different name now though...I cannot recall what it is.
I have to be one of the few people that thought the movie was just ok... i wasnt as awe struck by it as everyone else for some reason.
Very cool. So I'm assuming Diablo Cody is just her pen name then?? I've been really intrigued by her ever since I saw the movie. The writing was incredible. She definitely has unique voice. I hope she starts writing a new screenplay very soon. Oh, and she got an Oscar nom for Best Screenplay.

That really is so cool. I am sure you will see the movie in such a different way then the rest of us.
