Glad you had a great time...I've only been to NOLA once and that was for Mardi Gras...it's such a great city.  Isn't Cafe du Monde the best?? it's sooo yummy! Did you guys have a hurricane at Pat O'Briens on Bourbon Street...that was probably our favorite place that we went when I was down there with a group of friends.

Those donuts at Cafe Du Monde were to die for! and yes we did go to Pat O's, although the inside was packed and it was too cold to sit outside for long. The picture of me sticking my tongue out at the hurricane was taken at Pat O's. I really loved that city!

Was it very crowded on Mardi Gras? They've started the celebrations already but I'm glad we werent there the actual week of, it kinda felt like we had the city to ourselves.

I wasn't there on actual Mardi Gras, but the weekend before. Bourbon Street was packed and by mid-day, the lines to get into some of the bars was packed and by early evening it was almost impossible to get in some places.  Thankfully no open container laws, so wandering the streets with a drink was possible

Hmmm, now I really want some Cafe du Monde just thinking about NOLA!

Nice review, I love New Orleans! I was there during Mardi Gras and right after and it's re-damn-diculous how crazy that city and area get. Your pictures really make me want to go back! Glad you had a great time.

We just did a week-end in New Orleans too about a month ago (and used Skybus)....your blog makes we want to go back!!  I loved the oldness of the city...the food...and the people
