Columbus Public Schools Subs.

I have an interview tomorrow to substitute for Columbus Public Schools. This is the first district where I've had to interview to become a sub, so I'm wondering what sort of questions they might ask? I'm a few classes away from having my 7-12 Integrated Social Studies license and have done my student teaching already. I'm thinking their going to ask - why I want to be a sub, classroom management questions, and possibly give me scenarios. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I had an interview in the Fall and it was extremely easy. They ask about 20 questions and they are mostly scenarios and how you would react.

I agree with the pp.  Last winter I interviewed with them and have been subbing for half of last year and this year.  The interview was great.  I'm not sure who you're interviewing with, but I LOVED the lady that I interviewed.  They do ask a lot of scenario questions, but they are scenarios that cover exactly what you mentioned: classroom management, what you would do if there were no plans left for you, why you want to sub for them.  They are really straight forward about the kids being "street wise" and they really want to make sure you A. are ready for such situations B. truly understand what you're getting yourself into.
