halfway done

My ILS have been here now for 2 months and only another 1.5 months to go!!  I am currently being annoyed by my FIL standing at my island in my kitchen slurping his lunch so I had to post.  Seriously, you can't sit down?!?!  It isn't like he is eating a sandwich.

Re: halfway done

  • You deserve a gold star for being as patient as you have been.
  • I would go insane. My MIL originally planned to come and stay for a month, but she's now only coming for two weeks. I couldn't imagine 3.5 months!
  • I hope the rest of their time flies by!
  • I would have cut my arms off and beat myself to death with them about a month and a half ago. My MIL is coming to stay overnight in a few days and I'm going to have to double up on my meds for the occasion. Ugh.
  • Shanna, you have the patience of a saint. The thought alone of the ILs coming to visit makes me break out in a cold sweat!
  • I can't handle my FIL for 2 days!!!  You are a saint.  I'm going on bedrest (self-inflicted) starting Feb 4th so if you need to get away you can feel free to bring Ariana by and hang out at any time!
  • I would have gotten a tick by now. (or at least an eye twitch)
  • Ditto the other girls - you must be the most patient and understanding person on the face of the earth. I love my IL's - they are the coolest people ever, but having them at my house for that amount of time would probably send me into hysterics. I'm glad you are more than halfway done and the end is in sight. I hope the remainder of the visit is as painless as possible. ;)
  • Wow. That's all I can say. No way would that work for me. You are incredibly patient... especially considering you have a new baby on top of it all. I really hope the next month flies for you.

  • lololol
    way too funny
sadly my dad does the same  thing...
the slurping part at least *eeek*
  • Sean's mom came to visit for about 4 hours when Abbie was born (they live out of state)  I couldn't wait until they left.

    Bless you!
  • You are my hero! If I had inlaws I know I couldn't tolerate them for that long!
  • Thanks for the encouraging words ladies.  I know DH doesn't think I have much patience since I am constantly complaining, but damn I feel lucky I haven't killed anyone and they still like me...lol
  • I am so sorry! I just wouldn't be able to deal.
  • You're so wonderful for being this patient.  The time will fly by and you'll have your life back soon enough!!  You should make a new ticker for the countdown :)

  • Wow!  I don't know how you're doing it.  I can't tolerate my inlaws being here for more than 2 days let alone 3.5 months!!  I hope the remaining time goes by quickly.
  • I hope the next 1.5 months goes by quickly for you. I can't get over your little ones hair! She is so gorgeous! :) Congrats again!
  • You must have the patience of a saint.  An hour and a half at breakfast the other day was my limit!  You deserve a day at the spa once they leave for tolerating them for that long.
