POLL: Local hotel~1 night stay getaway

John and I desperatly need a 1 night getaway somewhere. Since I'm still breastfeeding I want to stay local. If you could stay anywhere just one night locally......where would it be.

TIA!

Re: POLL: Local hotel~1 night stay getaway

  • A lot of people recommend the Lofts...I have not personally stayed there, but from what i hear it sounds really really nice.
  • Maybe the Great Southern Westin?  You could get tickets for a show at Ohio Theater then stay at the hotel.
  • The Lofts, Westin Great Southern, Hilton - Easton. Even the Hyatt downtown or Capital Square and the Crowne Plaza downtown would be nice.
  • We stayed at The Lofts for one night over our anniversary weekend and it was great! Next time we do an overnight locally I want to try the Hilton Easton.
  • If you want to go downtown I'd recommend the Lofts as well (I've stayed there more times than I can count). It's a very unique hotel with exposed brick walls, 15ft ceilings, contemporary furnishings - just very trendy and true to its name - you feel like you are in an NYC loft. Plus its close to the Arena district if you want to do something at Nationwide or go out to eat or to bars down there. If you like Easton I'd recommend the Hilton - I've never stayed there personally but I've heard nothing but good things from people who have. You also have everything within walking distance there too. Have fun!
  • I'd go with the Hilton at Easton.  The Lofts are okay but you have to go to the adjacent "parent" hotel for any services(i.e., room service, food, etc.) and it doesn't have a hot tub :-)  Try to stay on the conceirge floor and you get free appetizers and drinks.

  • I second the Hilton at Easton. I too only thought the Lofts were "okay".

    Enjoy your get away!
