Birthday Gift For 1 yr Old?
My friend's baby is having a 1st birthday party in a few weeks. I have no clue what type of present to get a 1 year old. I'm trying to stay away from clothes since that is what we did for Christmas. Any suggestions on popular toys or anything else?

Violet loves push toys with wheels, blocks, instruments like drums, board books, and balls.
Her favorite toys right now are the fisher price puppy, Ruby's wooden doll house, her baby doll and her wooden puzzles (she mostly likes to make noise with the wooden pieces).
My little one (17 months) has been a big fan of a couple things.
1- Corn Popper (I think that is what it is called). The have been around forever. He can push or pull it and it has these little balls that pop and make noise.
2- Markers, Paint, etc. We really like the Crayloa Color Wonder markers and fingerpaint. He can use them and they only get on the paper. Not on him, the floor, the dog etc.
3- Any book. Especially with flaps to lift open.
4- Little People. We have lots of little people things and he LOVES them.
