Girls weekend in Columbus

Hi everyone,

I'm a new poster on this board.  I am orignally from Columbus but am currently living in Milwaukee (hoping to return to Columbus soon).

I am looking for suggestions on places to go for a fun girls weekend in Columbus.  When I was living in Columbus I was going to OSU and all we ever did was go to campus bars or go downtown to the Arena District.  Do any of you have any ideas on places to go that are different such as breweries/wineries or unique places to go in Columbus?

This is a weekend to celebrate several birthdays so we were thinking of places to be pampered and also places to go out on the town.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Re: Girls weekend in Columbus

  • There is a Charles Penzone salon in the Short North, so you could do your pampering there.  There are also a ton of great, new places to eat in Short North and downtown.  The Arena District still has some fun bars and Park St (Brother's/Jillian's area) has some new-ish places too.  Spice Bar (martini bar w/a dance area in the back), Sugar Bar (house/techno/top 40's dance) and Park Street Patio (more like a neighborhood bar w/live bands and a great patio) are all popular and fun.  Each one is a little different.
HTH!  Have a good time :)
  • I am originally from Milwaukee, Whitefish Bay actually and now I live in Columbus. Where do you live?

My girlfriends and I love to go to Spagio Cellars for wine and tapas, they have amazing wood fired pizzas and a fantastic wine selection. There's also the Burgandy room downtown or in Dublin. Another suggestion if you're starting out early is Spa Bar on Campus, you can bring your own drinks and get manis and pedis as a pre-party!

  • I would suggest going to the Melting Pot for dinner (or even just dessert or appetizer)--I think it's so much fun and SO yummy!

  • I suggest the Spa at River Ridge in Dublin.  I know a friend who lives in Chicago but has friends here and they went there for a girls group spa day.  I've had a massage there and it was great!

Easton for shopping is always fun too.. they have a million good restaurants.

  • I also second the Burgandy Room in the Short North.
  • Thank you all for your suggestions!!!

    GO BUCKEYES!!!
