XP: Hello from Minneapolis! Hotel recs please!
Hi Columbus ladies!
My name is Sandy and every year my husband Joe and I drive to Florida and like to stay in different cities along the way. Well, this year we've decided on staying over in Columbus! We'll be seeing The Lion King when it's playing there at the Ohio Theatre (at least that's what I think the theatre it's called).
Anyway, these are the hotels we're looking at. If you have any feedback on them or have any other suggestions, I'm all ears. We're looking for a place close to the theatre and under $170. Thanks so much!
* The Blackwell
* The Westin Columbus
* The Columbus, a Renaissance Hotel
* Hyatt on Capitol Square
* Doubletree Guest Suites Columbus
Thanks again!
Sandy
Re: XP: Hello from Minneapolis! Hotel recs please!
I've only stayed at the Blackwell...very nice! It's on the Ohio State campus, and about 7-10 minute drive to the Ohio Theatre depending on how many traffic lights you hit along the way
Of the others you have listed, I have heard good things about both the Hyatt and The Columbus. Both are walking distance to the theatre. Around The Columbus are a few dinner options, including Latitude (in the hotel) which I have heard good things about and Due Amici, which is nice.
I LOVE the lofts. DH and I stayed their on our honeymoon and we went back on our 1yr anni. The hotel is right next to the arena district in case you want to go out for a drink or a little entertainment. The ohio theater would only be about a 5min taxi ride from the Lofts. Here's the website
