When, and what type/make/model/style car do you think your next car purchase will be?
If you only know it'll be an SUV, Foreign Made, Hybrid, whatever, let us know!
Re: Today's Question: 3/23
well i just got a new car in november...a volvo s60 which i love (except its white & always looks dirty).
if the volkswagon jetta tdi (diesil) weren't so hard to come by & expensive i think we would have gone w/ that.
i'm hoping by the time i get my next car (well over 5 yrs from now b/c i know how reliable my volvo will be) the hybrid & fuel-efficient vehicle line will be greatly improved. i couldn't bring myself to buy a car that didn't have a turbo engine power right now. i fear i'd try to enter a highway thinking my car could get-up and go & it would take too long to get up to 60mph.
i think i'm done w/ american cars since my last one had so many problems, but when i do have to do repairs on a foreign car, i'm sure i'll regret it. it would be nice to support our economy.
March 2011 moved to WA from Charleston, SC
live in Mill Creek, work in Seattle, DH works in Mt Vernon
Were in the market now for a mid-size SUV, so far though I'm not in love with any so I really can't say. Top of the list right now is the Honda Pilot but we're thinking of test driving the GMC Arcadia or a Tahoe (which is way bigger than I want but with my discount and incentives it's a great price). I have an '08 Altima now and I love it but it's just not big enough.
Very cool. I've all of a sudden gotten an urge for a small suv with 3rd row seating. We have no plans to have kids anytime soon, but I just like having room to get all of our family in the car when they come to visit etc... which is an incredibly wasteful reason haha.
Anyway, I'm loving the Mazda cx-9 right now. I've never owned a mazda though, but I love that the car isn't huge, but it has the 3rd row.
We currently have 2 toyotas, a 7 corolla (purchased in 2006) and a Rav 4 from like 1997. Both are paid off. We want to save a little more money before buying again. DH plans to run the Rav4 into the ground before we get the next car, then he gets my Corolla, and I get the new vehichle. I love how that works at our house
I just got a Scion XB last June. I love it. I consider it a small suv but it only seats 5. It's very spacious and has tons fo storage space for groceries or luggage for travel. Plus, it gets great mpg.
Dh needs a car soon. Once we are actually ready to start a family, we are thinking about the Nissan Murano
We both have 07 now. I have a Toyota Matrix and dh has a Chevy Aveo. Our next car will be a van right now we like the Toyota Sienna and the Honda Odessy but leaning Toyota. I take care of a little girl during the week we do not have children of our own yet but we hope soon. There is a chance I will start watching another child in my house. If I have more than 2 children in my care I will start looking for a van but until then I love my Matrix.
I've been telling everyone since they came out that I want a MINI Cooper. I still do. However, I've become so used to driving a medium sized SUV (Mercury Mountaineer) that I don't think I could go to a smaller car.
If I have the money, I may think about getting another Mercury Mountaineer. My dad bought it new about 11 years ago. It has 210K miles and it still runs GREAT! It has more milage than my hubby's Chevy Silverado, and we think we'll have to replace his before mine.
