Holiday Praryer Request

Hello and Happy Holidays. I want to start by wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday tomorrow.

I have an OB appointment Wednesday for my ultrasound. I am nervous because of the spotting scare, which is still intermittent, but not any of the things that the OB said to worry about. Regardless, I am a little worried. I am asking that you pray for us and the baby that everything goes smoothly and that everything is okay on Wednesday.

I know that I am being neurotic, but thank you for all of your support.
-Mandie

Re: Holiday Praryer Request

  • Mandie, you will be in my thoughts.  I had a spotting scare and I remember feeling like everything was crashing down around me.  I know you had been TTC for awhile so I can't even imagine what you are feeling.  Just know that I have proof for you in my sig pic that not all spotting is a bad thing.  Is your DH going to the appointment with you?
  • I don't think that worrying about your baby is neurotic. I think it's normal and sane. I hope all is well on Wednesday and throughout your pregnancy. Good Luck!
  • Yes, he is going with me. I have had some spotting off and on since late November/early December. I posted about it when it happened. All brownish tan mucus and old blood. No cramping. I've been on pelvic rest since then. Yesterday I was really active, so DH thinks that's what caused it. The OB said that my subchronic hemmorhage was small and that the blood from it could linger on and be frustrating. She advised that it was better to come out to avoid infection. When I went to the ER they said that there was a heartbeat (that was at 5w5d). I am just really nervous.
  • Mandie my thoughts and prayers are with you and Dave and your little one. Please let me know if you need anything.
  • You are in my thoughts.  Not sure if it will make you feel any better but I had spotting for an entire week in my 7th week of  pregnancy.  When I went in for the U/S to get it checked, we found out it was twins and the excessive spotting was due to the implantation of 2 placentas!

    Good luck tomorrow!
  • Mandie I know EXACTLY how you are feeling right now and it's definitely not neurotic, it's normal. I will be thinking about you tomorrow and hoping that all is well with your little one. Take care & Merry Christmas!
  • I think it would be abnormal for you NOT to worry.  If they saw a heartbeat then thats a great thing.  My prayers are with you!  Bring tissues because once you see that baby tomorrow you'll be bawling!!
  • Keeping you guys in my prayers.
