Christmas Theft!

Hello:  I do not post on here very much, but felt I needed to share with you guys... Recently our work adopted a very BIG family for christmas, 20 kids.  Yesterday everyone brought in there gifts and we loaded them into the persons car that was delivering them to his church today.  He lives in Bexley.  Well last night he did not take the packages into the house and sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. somebody smashed out the rear window of his van and stole EVERYTHING.  There will be a story on channel 10 at 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.  This just makes me sick.  I adopted a little girl who was 9 years old and spend about $100 on her and 19 other people from our office did the same thing and everything is gone.  Sorry for venting.  Merry Christmas!

Re: Christmas Theft!

  • Ugh!! The nerve of some people......I'm so sorry.  I really can't wrap my head around how people can do that, especially on the holidays.

  • Aw that makes me so sad. I can't believe someone would do that. How awful for that family.
  • That is awful! Sometimes I really think the holidays can bring the worst in people!
  • That is absolutely horrible.  I'm sure your co-worker felt so bad that they were stolen on his watch.  People are just disgusting sometime.
  • Such a terrible thing to happen.

But 20 kids?????  Someone needs a hobby.
  • Why in the world would someone leave these packages in the car overnight? It's one thing if those were his personal packages, and he just wanted to take the risk, but to take this risk with special gifts...that your coworkers worked long hours to pay for and prepare...just seems irresponsible. You mentioned Bexley as if it was surprising that this would happen in "Bexley". Thieves usually don't target poor areas...they target people that let their guard down and become way tooo comfortable in their surroundings!!!!

A good gift for this family would be Ortho Tri Cyclyn.
    LOL!!!!
  • Our apartment got broken into a couple of weeks ago. My neighbors car was broken into last week. Crime picks up so much around the holidays. Although it was a very dumb thing to leave the packages in his car especially over night.

  • when I worked for childrens services someone left the packages for our kids in their car in our parking lot and they all got stolen.  he was stupid to do it, though.  bah humbug!  tis the season!
