Dh and I will hopefully make a trip to Cincinnati this weekend to adopt a yellow Lab. What would you name a yellow Lab? Keep in mind her 'sister; is Raven (black lab in siggy pic) I'm trying to come up with names that are meaningful to her color. So far I've got: Cheerio -the box is yellow, DH put it on the list. I would call her Rio Dandy- as in Dandelion Pearly Mellie- think Mellow Yellow I'm open to suggestions!

This has nothing to do with color, but I always wanted a yellow lab named Tucker. How about Maisie (like maize/corn., which is yellow). It's a stretch, but I like the name. Or maybe Sunny?

I'm so bad at thinking of names, but I really like pp's suggestions, esp. Maisie. That's a great dog name! Very cute. I like Sunny too, except it sounds just like Sonny, so people might think she's a boy. Then again, my adopted grandma named her huge German Shepard Gus, despite knowing full well Gus was a girl.

Too bad Raven is already named, Ebony and Ivory would be too cute!  I love to name doggies, mine are named after race tracks (Bristol and Talladega) and my friend has gases (Diesel and Octane, soon to be joined by Keronsene or Benzene).

I use to have a yellow lab named Caesar, but of course it was a boy. And my brother has a yellow lab named Brutus, but again another boy. I'm not helping any am I?

Thanks for the ideas! I forgot about Sunny/ Sonny. No worries on people thinking she's a boy. Raven wears a bright pink bubble gum collar and leash and people (men) STILL ask me how old HE is. Dumb@sses! No word yet from the Lab rescue place. I'm so excited! I already have accine certificates for Raven and our 3 cats to prove that they are all up to date on vaccines. I really hope we have to drive to Cincinnati tomorrow!

Dawsgirl, Raven's middle name is Ebony, and our last name is the word for "black" in another language, so Raven could also be known as Black Black Black...hehehe
