I cannot get over the mother of triplets who died...

I've been thinking about it all night, and I cried when I first read it. I had posted to her many times on the multiples board...it just makes me so thankful for my family and my life. I try not to think about how bad my delivery was and how lucky I was to already be in the hospital when things went wrong, but it's posts like this that bring reality home.

Re: I cannot get over the mother of triplets who died...

  • Not to make you feel worse, but that is the second mother of triplets to die in the last month, unless the guy on CNN and all those news stations is this nestie's husband.  Here is the story from a few weeks ago: http://www.kvoa.com/global/story.asp?s=7462568

    So, so sad!!
  • No Shanna, I pointed out the differences in the post below.  It's just a weird coincidence that this happened twice in a month.

This does not help me with DH.  He was all nervous before I got pg, because of situations like these.  No matter how much he wants kids, he wants me around even more, and he looked at pregnancy as a dangerous thing for the mom.  But statistics are on our side.  Yeah, things happen, but it's such a small percentage of the time.
  • I know. So heartbreaking. I am so fortunate to have my family safe and sound.
  • It is so awful, but that was the first thing I had thought of too. I was so thankful that you and the boys made it through okay.

I did not know the nestie, but it's a hearbreaking situation. I feel so sad for that poor family.
  • I keep thinking about her too. It makes me so sad that her children will never get to see her. It's just so scary.  My first ex-husband's wife's mother (did you get that?) was paralyzed from  the eppidural (sp). Pregnancy just sounds so dangerous sometimes.

  • I know how you feel.  I definitely remember her posts on Multiples.  I just keep thinking about her poor DH and what he must be going through.  It's a horrible story.
  • I was reading that story and did anyone happen to pick up on the spelling of the dad's name?  Andrue at the beginning and Andrew at the end... weird.

Both of those stories are so sad... amazing how they are so similar and both took place in the same month!  I hope both locations are scrambling to have this NOT happen again.... how terrible for both father, babies and their families....

  • I know... it's just... too sad for words.
