I just recently found out that we are doubly-blessed and expecting twins!  I noticed you are also.  Do you know of any local twins groups in the Columbus area?  A friend of mine in another state joined some sort of support group for twins and she loves it.  Just wondered if there is something like that here.  Thanks!

Re: *** aleeandbry ***

  • Congrats!!!  It really is a lot to wrap your mind around but we certainly are doubly blessed.  There is a wonderful group in Cbus called the Columbus Mothers of Twins Club.  www.cmotc.org
They have monthly meetings from Sept - May and also a yahoo email group where you can ask the moms questions.  If you are pg then you can be an honorary member for free but even once you have the babies the dues aren't much.  They have a great twins sale 2x per year and lots of other activities and the girls are really nice.  I highly recommend joining.

Also, the Multiples Nest board on here is really helpful.  Finally, there's another Cbus Nestie named Meghan (tbonegrl is screen name) who has twin boys and posts frequently.  She is a wealth of great information and very helpful.

Let me know if you have any questions.  I'm always on this board, multiples, and Cleveland Babies (which the cbus girls took over).

Good luck!  Oh - 2 more things.  If you don't already have Dr. Barbara Luke's book, "When You're Expecting Twins Triplets or Quads" I highly recommend it.  Also, OSU hospital offers a class called Marvelous Multiples which was helpful to DH and I.
  • Hi Jayrose! I remember you! Congrats!

I second everything Alicia said...she listed lots of great info. Please page me here or on the musltiples board if you need anythign or have any ?s. Welcome to the MOMs club!

  • Thank you for all the great information!  I will look into the CMOTC today and see if I can find information on the Marvelous Multiples class, too.  I'm in a Mom's group in my nieghborhood, but there aren't any twins in the group.  Thanks again!
