where to get fitted for new bra??

Ok, so I'm way too introverted to even think of doing this, but I need fitted for a new bra so badly I could cry. After Kelsie-pie, I am bigger and droopy, and lopsided, none of which I was before pg. I tried measuring myself and I basically came up with my old size with just a slightly bigger band. no way that's right.
I bought 2 and hate them both after wearing them for a day, so I'm stuck with them. :( Where can I go for help when it's busy for Christmas, but I'm in dire need?

Re: where to get fitted for new bra??

  • I know that Victoria's Secret and Lane Bryant will measure you for a bra size. I would just go as early in the morning during the week as possible to beat the people rush and they have more time to measure you correctly.
  • If your band size is larger than about 38 and you are at least a C-cup, try Cacique.  It is Lane Bryant's lingerie store.  I have always had good luck in there and the ladies are super nice and willing to help.  Also, they aren't as busy as VS in my opinion.
  • I always get measured at VS - they are very helpful and friendly.  they do it over your clothes and it's not embarassing.

However - OPRAH says that Nordstroms will give you the best bra fitting of your life.  I've also had it done there (for my wedding) and they do a good job but you have to take off your shirt (keep bra on).

  • I guess I don't qualify for Cacique. :(

  • Be thankful for that, Kelly!!!

I'm pretty sure JCPenney will do them, too :)  ((HUGS))

  • Best fittings and best bras at Nordstrom!!  I just always buy 1 bra and then find them online cheaper.
  • I just went to VS at Tuttle last night, and I wouldn't reccomend it. The salesgirl didn't know who could do it, hemmed and hawwed about doing it herself, then directed me to the fitting room.

    That girl measured me at a 36D...I'm a 36 Aor sometimes B.

I told her no way, and to remeasure, and what my normal size was. She did, and then said, Uh, yeah, I'd go with the B."

I wanted measured for their bras b/c brand depends on whether I wear an A or a B, and I didn't want to pay $50 for something that didn't fit (I don't like trying on bras in the stores), but she basically had no idea and just said, yeah, go with your regular size.
They didn't have you where I come from...never knew the best was yet to come...
  • My experiences have been with the VS at Easton and they have been very knowledgable and accurate.
  • Go to either Macy's or Nordstrom. Both large department stores have women on staff that are experts in this department. Nordstrom especially. You'll pay considerable more for a bra there, but if it fits perfect who cares.
  • I had a poor experience with VS too.  It was like she was too busy for a 2 min bra fitting.  The size she said was WAY wrong.  You'd think they'd do fittings well as bras are what they do.
  • Nordstrom. They're awesome. The bras are not cheap but they're wonderful.
