So I saw a reivew in Columbus Alive newspaper a few weeks ago for this place and thought it was worth trying out, for those that know the Gahanna area it's in the Cold Creek development they are building (the new shopping/condo facility).
The area will be really nice when it gets to be nicer outside and complete, but it looks like it will have lots of fountains and such, the husband (who knows I am a book worm) mentioned it would be a great place for me to go and read cuz it will be nice and relaxing!
The website it:
http://www.mezzoitalian.com/We went on Friday night and did make reservations (was easy, but people were getting turned away by the time we got there). It was kind of our "xmas" dinner before heading home to the families this weekend.
The decor is really nice inside, but it's not stuffy I had on jeans and a sweater, and the hubby wore a sweater and khakhi's.. at first i thought we would be underdressed but we fit right in, there were people more dressed up and about the same level dressed up as us... they have these really cool chandelier's with forks & spoons around the outside, just a neat little touch.
The food was really good for me,
We both got
House Greens Saland (yummy with good dressing!)
I got the
Pollo ?Mattone? which was chicken and had really good flavor!
The husband got the
Filet Mignon the first time they brought it out it was not medium well, it was... hocky puck -esque, so he sent it back and they got super apologetic and everything and then brought out a new one which was "perfect"
Out waitress was AWESOME, super friendly and just on top of things.
(sorry for the wierd font size issues, not sure what is happening or how to fixt it)
we gave the place a 9/10 (would have been a 10 if the steak was right the first time)! I would suggest it to anyone looking for a nice dinner out
