Less than two weeks until Christmas!!!!
I am almost done with my shopping, for the first year ever. Decorating the tree tonight and cleaning for MIL coming this weekend. Have yet to start on my Christmas cards though, oops! Hows everyone else doing?
Re: Less than two weeks until Christmas!!!!
DH is being incredibly unhelpful with stuff for his side of the family. I come up with ideas, I find deals, I shop, I buy....if it were up to him, we would pay out the nose for stuff and not get it until we're on our way to Findlay. Ugh. I'm totally outdone with him right now. I've wrapped all the presents and tonight or tomorrow I"ll be doing all of our Christmas cards. So frustrated!!
That said, only a few more things to buy--need to find something for my dad, a few books for my mom, and maybe something little to throw in with SIL's gift. Oh, and probably some more baby clothes for my niece.
Ugh!! I am SO behind this year. We barely have anything purchased and then for some people, we don't even have a clue what we'll get them. I'm in the Christmas spirit, but not in the mood at all to shop.
However, I did get my Christmas cards out yesterday. At least that's done.
((hugs)) Danica!
I have everyone done but Brandon. And I know what I'm getting him, it's just a matter of ordering it online. And we do a family exchange for $25..I have the female gift bought, but Brandon doesn't have the male one yet. Almost all the gifts are wrapped. I have to finish up making some ornaments so they can go on the packages. And I'm hoping to do Christmas cards this weekend!
I finished my shopping last night! I ordered my parents' gifts online late last week and am having them shipped directly to Maryland. Christmas cards to my family and my sister's gift are being put in the mail tomorrow. This weekend, I am planning to pick up some wrapping paper and tags, as well as a gift for Sophie. Then, Sunday night I'll probably wrap Chris' gifts so they can go under the tree.
Now, we just need to put up the tree and decorate.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one without their tree up. I love real trees and kept waiting for it to not rain or snow (we don't have a garage to let it dry before we bring it in), but as you can see, that is never going to happen. So I gave up and bought a fake one at Target last night. We'll put it up tonight.
I'm about half way done with shopping, but still quite a bit to do. I wish I had more specific ideas so I could buy them online, but I think I'm going to have go to the stores to browse before I buy. Ugh.
DH is going Friday to finish his sister and his dad. Everyone else is finished, all but 2 things are wrapped (I need clothes boxes in order to wrap them). One present is on backorder, set to be delivered 12/21!!! Nothing like cutting it close. But it's for my mom and I already warned her, she didn't care..her other present should be arriving at my house any day now.
Tree is up and decorated, the house (inside and out) is decorated.
Christmas Cards? Soooo NOT doing those this year. Ethan was not cooperative when it came to doing photo-cards. So I said forget it. Maybe we'll V-day cards or something! LOL!
I'm grinchy this year. We're not decorating because we leave on Sunday afternoon for thilling adventures in road trip with puppy and Christmas with his family. Spending Christmas with our originary families is the one thing I have been brutally clear on NOT wanting since we started talking about getting engaged, but through a string of stupidass events, here we are. I'm nt being dragged, per se, but it's the same thing that would happen if there were someone at the door saying that inevitably someone was going to get a foot cut off. Of course I'm going to say take mine, because I don't want my family hurting. But I sure as hell don't have to like it. C'mon 2008, you can't be here fast enough!
