RP: Kick, kick - baby's mad!

Oops, meant to post this on the baby board.  First kicks for me!  I started feeling the baby wiggling about a week ago (every few days).

Re: RP: Kick, kick - baby's mad!

  • My OB told me that a laying position will be uncomfortable for me long before the baby is in any danger so I will want to move.
  • That's so cool, Julie!  :)
  • Yey!  Feeling movement is definitely the best part of being pregnant.  Except when you're trying to sleep and you're like "enough already!"  but even then it's cool.
  • That's great! Now I bet he won't stop and it will get harder, my baby startles the crap out of me sometimes!

I'm bad about sleeping/resting positions. I was a belly sleeper before, and as big as my belly is, I still sleep half on my belly sometimes. And I sleep on my back all the time, it is the only comfortable position, when I think about it I try to be half on my back and half on my side. I think whatever is comfortable to you is fine, the baby will tell you when to move :)
  • p.s. I also sleep 1/2 on my stomach most of the time... I don't think it hurts the baby(ies).  Although we'll see if Baby B comes out with a squished head or something - his side is my left side.  :o)

I get up so often in the night that I really don't think it matters what position I'm in during the few precious hours of sleep.
  • I could only sleep on my sides when i was preg. i couldnt lay on my tummy at all.  sometimes though i would wake up in the morning laying on my back ( this was when i was big) and it was all i could do to try to get out of bed, ha.

feeling baby movement is so awesome, i am sad that i do not get that anymore :(

  • Baby movement is the best!  Congrats on hitting that stage.  Pretty soon it will be keeping you up at night but it is the neatest thing :)
