Did anyone go to grad school at Franklin University?

I was just curious to see how much work was involved in the BA program.  I requested a grad packet from them. I thought I'd go there since I did my under grad there. OSU was just too expensive, even with Nationwide paying!  :-(

TIA

Re: Did anyone go to grad school at Franklin University?

  • did you mean how much work was invovled with the MBA program?

I got my MBA from them, graduated a year ago

it was a lot of work, but at the same time laid out well, and they understand that you are a student as well as a full time worker as well as a person with a life and family, so it's not too crazy!

let me know if you have more questions and such...

i work at NW too! who-hoo for paid tuition reimbursement :)
  • Thanks! I'm just worried with all of the work, that I might be giving  up too much. I just graduated last year with my BS so I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the time getting my MBA.

What part of NW do you work for? Those of us NW Nesties do lunch once a month. Would you like to join us? All of us are downtown.

  • yeah i did mine right after undergrad as well (from OSU) if i didn't do it right after i woudln't have been able to do it (cuz once I got out of school zone, there is no going back to school :p)

i honestly enjoyed graduate school and the work invovled with it ALOT better then undergrad, cuz the stuff we learned was actually stuff i WANTED to learn, and due to that... the work didn't seem so bad.

nice part is it's only one night of the week, and maybe one other night of the week heads down doing your work . . . and not all the classes needed that much time!
I work DT as well.. in plaza 1... i'd love to get together for lunch with the nesties :) I had listed by NW ID in the last thread you guys had about lunch, i think i started posting right after your last lunch :)

    the ID = RITCHS

I think that answers most of the questions you had!

  • I'm going to give a different perspective, I looked at Franklin for completing my MBA but went with Devry's Keller Graduate School.  I'm almost finished and I now regret not going with Franklin.
  • Danica-I am also looking @ grad school and I was really impressed with the program (MBA) @ Otterbine (sp?)
  • Otterbein has an excellent program too, albeit expensive.
  • Great suggestions ladies! I think I might just go with Franklin since I got my BS there and I like their online classes. I'm just so afraid to get back into school, but sadly I'm bored!!! I need something to do!
  • I did my MBA at Ohio Dominican. It was a pretty good program, one night a week and usually one night doing work meeting with schoolmates, etc. If you are bored, it will keep you busy! :)
Just an opinion, from the higher ed standpoint (I work at OSU-for Registrar previously and now Admissions), it is usually seen as "better" to go to different schools for grad school and undergrad. Seen as a bit more diversity by attending 2 schools rather than continuing on at the same one. So maybe check out other school's evening MBA programs too?
    Good luck!
