Outdoor wedding locations???

NO, I'm not getting married again.  I haven't done anything wrong!  LOL

My best friend is, though, and I'm scouting locations for her.  She'd love to find a place where they can get married and have the reception as a kind of a cookout, barefoot, beer sort of thing.

Any ideas?

Most of the places I can think of, she wouldn't be able to do beer/alcohol for her reception. What about someone's backyard? Here's my other ideas:

Park of Roses/Any State Park/Taylor Mansion/Jeffery Mansion/Franklin Park Conservatory/Creekside in Gahanna

The Park of Roses is beautiful, but you arent allowed to have alcohol unless you have Made from Scratch cater.  HTH!!

I know the perfect place - DH and I looked into it before deciding on our location.  It's only a few minutes south of polaris.

Wow, that barn is cool! I had no idea it existed.  But yeah, it's a state park so no alcohol.  Bummer.

The Four Seasons in Hilliard is a wonderful location.  Our event was fairly formal, but I know they will do less formal events too!  Everyone we worked with there was great!

We had ours at Germania.  It's in the brewery district.  They were very flexible and have a nice backyard area where they do cookouts and whatnot in the summer.  If you click on the bio in my signature, you can see some pics of the backyard.

We got married at Slate Run park in canal winchester. You can't have alcohol though. They have a big shelter house that is really nice and it's free. Only bad thing is you can't reserve it so we just showed up really early and set up. We got married by the lake. I have pictures on my myspace www.myspace.com/wickedclown1020. It was really pretty.

If you're willing to drive a bit, there's a place near Lancaster (Cheers Chalet).  Has outdoor settings for ceremony and indoor/outdoor stuff for food.  Alcohol def. allowed.  Maybe Clintonville Women's Club?  It backs up to some park (can't remember which) and is BYOB

I know I am really really late but we got married in London, Ohio.  It is called White Star Farms so beautiful and peaceful.  We got so many complements for people and you don't have to do much decorating because they have lights everywhere.  We did our ceremony outside and the reception in the red barn.  The pictures on the website doesn't do it justice, I can email you pictures of our wedding if you would like.
