This is the first time in my whole life that I've been at work the day before Thanksgiving.  So weird.  No one is here though and we're getting out early so it's not like it's tough.  Yey for a holiday weekend in just a couple hours!

I'm here. I need to save my days for next year! And besides..it seemed kinda silly to take a whole day when I knew I'd leave early anyway.

Did you get the packet in the mail from SourceOne that explains in detail how the PTO/STD/Unpaid time works?  I thought it was really helpful.  Unfortunately, I won't have accumulated 5 days by the time I go out so I'll have to take 3 unpaid days before my STD takes over.

I can't decide when to quit today, all of my direct reports in Des Moines are all on vacation this week, so I guess whenever I want! When are you guys getting out? I was really hoping noon, hehe, then that's when I would stop.

I never got a packet. I don't like my nurse lady, so I may try to contact yours Alicia! Mine doesn't tell me anything! I had to find everything out on my own.

I have been saving up vacation time too, I will have the normal 18 days, and I will have saved at least 5 days to roll over. Then on top of the 6-8 weeks STD, I think I'm good. I would like to take 8-10 weeks when baby gets here, then save 2 weeks for vacation later on in the year.

I'm here too.  I used up most of my time for our wedding and honeymoon this summer!  I hope to leave around noon and have lunch with DH.

I'm at work, too. Boo....but I think I'm going to leave early. Not much to do, plus I have to find a pecan pie today since I was dumb and didn't order one last week. Wish me luck!

Alicia, I did get the packet, but I have yet to read it! Jody, I can't believe your nurse didn't send you anything! I should have 9 days to carry over, plus the 18 days, so that'll be nice. We typically get out at 2pm, but I'm hoping to leave earlier since I get here a lot earlier than my co-workers.

I'm working from home too.  I took an hour off at 8:15 to brine a turkey, and now I'm back to trying to write a paper.

I'm here hopefully only until about 3pm   (which is nice, I normally leave at 6)  Already went to the grocery this morning - I was fearing this evenings crowd.  And I'm hoping to sneak a gym visit in with my extra afternoon time   YAY!!!

Me!!!  And I'm actually pretty okay with it.  I'm taking the whole week of Christmas off (only got off Christmas Eve & the day of without vacation days), so this is okay.  We'll be getting on the road tonight, but I just have a feeling it's going to take FOREVER to get home first!!

Knowing my luck, we'll get let out early and I won't be able to leave b/c DH will have to work until 4:00 setting up for the Thanksgiving dinner on campus tomorrow.  *sigh*  Oh well!

I'm at work - my last day at Skybus!  Bored out of my mind right now because I've already passed everything on to the girl that will be taking over my duties until they hire a replacement.  I'm used to working the day before Thanksgiving, just not the day after!

I'm here at work (it's only 8:50 Phoenix time). I'm hoping they let us go home early...that would be sweet. I mean, unless we get told otherwise today, we have to work on Friday as well.

I am seriously in a love/hate relationship right now with working in state government.
