Poll: What are you Thankful for?

IHO of Thanksgiving (Turkey Day) - what are you thankful for this year?

I am thankful for a great family - mine and my in-laws. I am thankful for a great group of friends that always offer so much support and understanding. I am thankful that my cousin, who is Iraq, is safe and sound.  And most important, I am thankful for my husband . . .I couldn't have picked a better one!!!

I hope you all have safe travels this week (and throughout the season) and enjoy time with all of your loved ones.  And in the wise words of Joey Tribani . . .don't forget to put on your Turkey Eatin' Pants!!!

Re: Poll: What are you Thankful for?

  • And, of course, thankful for the C-bus Nest board - you are all super duper ladies who keep me company during the long work day :)
  • LOL good ole Joey Tribani!!!! :-)  Your memorable quote made me think of the time Ross dressed up as the Holiday Armadillo!!

I'm thankful for so many things!

    - That my mom is here another day.
    - For my friends who helped me through a tough year (love to you all!)
    - For Tony for understanding me.
    - For my family as we are finally all back together. My sister and I had not talked in four years. And since my mom is sick, we are actually talking and hugging. I have missed her.
    - For a job to keep food on my table and a roof over my head. I never grew up with my parents owning a house and somehow, some way I am making it work!
    - For those over seas and in America who protect our freedom. Love to your cousin Steph who is fighting for us all.

    Happy Thanksgiving ladies!

  • I feel as I have much to be thankful for this year, as we have had some major life changes in 2007.  I am thankful for:

    *my family and my in-laws
*Chris-we have become closer since moving to Arizona. It's so nice to spend time with him because we really didn't in Ohio.
*Sophie-she is really the world's best dog :)
*a good job using my Master's degree that will be help me achieve my future career goals
*our friends who are spread all around the country. Even with the distances, we are always there for each other.
  • - My parents. They've been a tremendous support system to Brandon and I and are always willing to help us out. They've taken Brandon under their wing as their own son.

    - My close-knit group of girlfriends. Some days I don't know what I'd do without them. They help keep me sane and put things in perspective when I'm all about me.

    - My job. Even though I may not like it every day, it still pays the bills and puts food on my table. At a time like this, I'm very happy I have one.

    - My husband. He makes me laugh every day and even when he's being an a$$ can turn around and do the sweetest things.

    - My little baby that's growing inside me. I can't wait to meet him/her and become a mommy..the job I've always wanted :)

  • Melissa, I'm willing to let Sophie be the best dog in AZ, but Raven is the best doggie in OH...hehehe. I love labs! I'm thankful for: proving to myself that I could (and will continue to) drop the pounds! My human family and their health My furry kids, Sweetie, Buster, Wrigley and Raven. Niece cat Helen and Niece dog Lark. New life (SIL is expecting #2 in April) Old traditions at family gatherings (Spending Christmas day at home in my jammies) That wonderful man who promised all his days to me....awww friends! *note to self: must pack TEP..Turkey Eatin Pants for Thursday. Forgetting to do so could be a baaaaaaaad idea.
  • Rooette, sounds like a deal :)
  • I am thankful for a loving husband, good and healthy families, the ability to travel and see these family, and all the stereotypical things. lol.

  • * a wonderful husband who will do anything for me and loves me unconditionally
    * parents who will always love me and care for me
    * in-laws who truly love their son
    * DH and I having jobs that can support us and keep us comfortable
    * my close group of friends--while we can get on each others' nerves, we all truly care about each other
    * you ladies--I don't know what I'd do without you!
  • *My wonderful husband
    *My beautiful girls

*My computer so I can "talk" to you all

  • I'm glad this was posted, I need to focus on things I'm thankful for.

    - My family and support system.  I would have gone insane without them.
    - My pets, they too keep me sane.
    - My education.
    - My jobs, sometimes I loathe them but they pay the bills and well, things could be worse.
    - My church and the supportive community within it.
    - My car, townhome and everything in it!
    - The hope that Joe and I can repair our marriage.
    - Columbus nesties!  (Because we rock the house!)
  • Thanks you guys - way to make the pg woman cry at work.  All your posts are so nice!  :o)

    I'm thankful for:
    - my amazing husband who surprises me every day with his support and love
    - my mother without whom I could not function on a daily basis
    - the rest of my family (especially my 3 grandparents over 86yrs old)
    - my wonderful blessings growing inside of me
    - and my OB for giving me a prescription for a handicapped parking sticker so I don't have to walk 1/2 mile to work every day
  • im thankful  for:

my little girl, who in the last 3.5 weeks has make my life work living

my wonderful husband who i couldnt do this with out

my parents and siblings and all there health

the chance to actually spend thanksgiving with my family (i have worked on thanksgiving since i was a sophmore in highschool and im now 24)

my precious babies(cats) boogers and rumples, they are the cutest things ever and make everyday fun

and soo much more that i cant even think of right now.

ohh yea and for you ladies

  • - for my girlfriends - I have a great group of girls that I've surrounded myself with, and I'm truly not sure I would've made it through this rough year without them.

    - for my nestie girls - you guys :) I love you all!

    - for my family. Again, without their love and unconditional support, I don't think I would've made it through this year and be where I am right now.

    - for finally getting courage to leave a miserable situation and liberate myself. I'm on the road to complete happiness and I couldn't be more proud of myself.

    - for my job. I love the company that I work for. They support me and praise me and treat their employees well. Without it, again, I wouldn't have been able to leave my situation the way I did.

    - for all of the other people in my life that have gone out of their way to make me smile and life me up over the past 6 months.

and last, but not least... am thankful for NEW BEGINNINGS :) Am looking forward to a clean slate and starting over!
